Industrial and agricultural electrical contractor

Three-phase supplies, sub-mains, machinery connections and high-level lighting for factories, warehouses, farms and rural businesses. Because we're also a civil engineering contractor, long trenched cable runs, bases and ducting are done by our own team.

How we work

Why one contractor helps

On industrial and rural sites, the hard part is often getting the cable there: a long trench across a yard or field, a road crossing, a new base. Most electricians subcontract that. We do it ourselves, with our own plant and operators.

We're used to working around production, livestock and harvest, and to the extra requirements for agricultural installations in the wiring regulations.

FAQs

Common questions

Can you run power to outbuildings across a farm or yard?

Yes. We trench and duct armoured cable runs across yards, fields and access roads with our own plant, then install the sub-main and distribution at the other end.

Can you upgrade our supply to three-phase?

Usually, yes. We assess your load, apply to the network operator for the new or upgraded supply, and install everything from the meter position onwards.

Can you install high-level lighting without scaffolding?

Often, yes. We use IPAF mobile platforms and IRATA rope access to install, maintain and test lighting and containment at height.

Do you offer planned inspection and testing?

Yes. We carry out EICRs for industrial and agricultural sites, and can plan inspections across several sites or buildings with remedial work quoted separately.

What are the extra rules for farm electrics?

Agricultural and horticultural premises have their own section of the wiring regulations, with extra requirements for RCD protection, equipment protection and fire risk in buildings with livestock and stored crops. We design and install to them.

Which areas do you cover?

We're based in East Grinstead and cover Sussex, Surrey, Kent and London, and take on larger industrial and agricultural projects UK-wide.
