Commercial EV charger installation in Sussex, Surrey & Kent

Chargers for car parks, workplaces and fleet depots, installed by one contractor from the first trench to the final certificate. We're part of McCance Group, the civil engineering contractor, so the groundworks and the electrics come under one contract.

Who it's for

Charging for any site with parking

Workplaces & offices

Staff and visitor charging, with access control and usage reports.

Public & council car parks

Pay-to-charge bays with card or app payment, built to suit public use.

Fleet & van depots

Overnight and rapid charging sized around your vehicles and shift patterns.

Retail & hospitality

Chargers that bring customers in and keep them on site longer.

Residential blocks

Shared charging for flats and managed developments, with billing per resident.

Farms & rural businesses

Long cable runs, outbuildings and tricky supplies are part of our everyday work.

Charger types

The right charger for how long cars stay

The best charger depends on dwell time. A car parked all day at work needs a different charger from a delivery van that's back on the road in an hour.

ChargerTypical outputBest forSupply
AC single-phase7 kWAll-day workplace parking, residential blocksSingle-phase
AC three-phase11–22 kWVisitor bays, hotels, retail, overnight fleetThree-phase
DC rapid50 kW +Fleet turnaround, public car parks, short staysThree-phase, often an upgraded supply

Most sites use a mix. Load management shares the available supply between chargers, which often avoids a costly supply upgrade.

How it works

Survey to switch-on, one contract

On most commercial EV jobs, the electrician has to bring in a separate groundworks contractor. That means two programmes, two sets of overheads and a gap where problems fall through. We do both.

Our civil engineering team works on car parks and highway structures every week. Trenching through a live car park, reinstating surfacing and keeping traffic moving is normal work for us.

FAQs

Common questions

Do you handle the groundworks as well as the chargers?

Yes. We're part of McCance Group, a civil engineering contractor, so trenching, ducting, charger bases and resurfacing are done by our own team under the same contract as the electrical installation.

Will my site need a supply upgrade?

It depends on your existing capacity and how many chargers you want. Our survey includes a load assessment. Load management can often avoid an upgrade, and where one is needed we handle the application to the network operator.

Can we charge drivers to use the chargers?

Yes. We fit networked chargers that connect to a back-office platform, so you can set tariffs, take payment and control who has access.

Is grant funding available?

Government funding schemes change regularly. We check what your site currently qualifies for as part of the survey and include it in the quote where it applies.

Can you work while our car park stays open?

Yes. We phase the work and use traffic management so most of your bays stay usable, as we do on live car park and highway jobs.

Which areas do you cover?

We're based in East Grinstead and take on commercial EV projects anywhere in the UK. Our civils team already works on car parks and highway structures nationwide.
